There are several other Jumble blogs, but the ones I checked all started off by listing the answers. In this blog, answers can be either hinted at or masked by burying them in comments. No overt spoilers!

|| || verge, apart, harbor, unload, pour over.
The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are the lifeblood of a blog!
Read the comments, and reply to them if you are so moved!
War and revolution were on the verge of breaking out. Then Parliament decided a new tax to bring about. Tea was the favored drink thruout the British Empire, So an extra tax on tea hit every colonist's desire!
The Motherland and offspring were being torn apart. In Boston three merchant ships, forbidden to depart, Were likewise not permitted to unload their taxed tea. As a result, a stalwart band held a Boston Tea Party!
At night they boarded where the ships were moored, And to solve the impasse, they tossed chests overboard! Into the Boston harbor, tea poured over the gunwales! The tea inside was spoiled, and Parliament had failed!
The Revolution, Act I, with the Sons of Liberty as ensemble cast. I always think how cold it must have been that night. But they were a hardy, raucous bunch and I guess they didn't let it bother them.
Pretty easy jumble; the clue words came easily without poring over them, and the cartoon solved itself almost immediately. Made me a little hungry, though.
Well, I had trouble with item 4 and needed Owen's poem to help me get that one. That solved the problem I first had when I kept poring over the Jumble solution--so many thanks, Owen. I had a tougher time than you did, Sandyanon, but you made me feel my initial little problem was not so out of line.
I think problems are never out of line. It Always surprises me when I have trouble on a jumble that others find simple, and vice versa. And that goes for the crosswords too -- amazing how different people's areas of knowledge are.
Re. Timezones. Detroit, Michigan always confused me in my 'ute. The baseball game started at 2pm, Boston time but the Redwings game started at the same time as the Bruins.
I finally learned that Michigan didn't observe daylight savings time . Much later they did and I found out why. DW's mother had a cottage on Lake Michigan and I watched the sun set one evening.

I followed in Misty's footsteps. The sol. hid from me. I went away, and when I returned, it poured.
