  1. Yep. Another easy peasy super cheesy solution.
It should be yours at a glance. But not un-funny...

I had an Old English Sheepdog that I actually called Beowulf back when I lived in Massachusetts.
I was playing catch with a neighbor kid who liked to zing the ball at me sometimes. One wild pitch hit Beowulf on the head.
We were lucky; given his breed, the ball caught more fur than skull.

  2. Agreed. Got the solution -- kind of cute -- then looked back at the clues. Had a little trouble with clue two, but having all its letters led to a V8 can moment.

  3. Well, I had to work a little on the fourth Jumble words, even though words with just a single vowel are usually pretty easy. Then looked at and read the cartoon and wondered if I would get the solution--but it popped right up. Sweet cartoons with all those cute little kids with their hands in different positions. Are those hands on the poster as well? Anyway, sweet Jumble and as usual, nice gloss, Ol'Man Keith. And always glad to see you here, Sandyanon.

  5. I got some energy up so here we go...

In a hole in a hill lived a Hobbit
He loved his privacy so it was ironic
That for a scorching summer day
It was cool and cozy in the breezeway.

Bilbo lived a frugal life and although
He was comfortable, he hadn't much dough
He had his hands full with these uninvited dwarf folks
But this Thorin was a most persuasive bloke.

Lunging for this treasure hunt could be a fools errand
For all he knew the kingdom under the mountain was merely a legend
And then there was this weird wizard fellow
Puffing on that pipe like a convoluted bellows
