J4 was pretty easy, though I did have a little trouble with clue three. I'll be interested in how clue four will work in a poem with the other three. The solution was obvious once all the letters were there; I guess it's a pun.
ReplyDeleteJ6 gave me fits with the second clue, but finally got it. Appreciated the double meaning in the solution; now that's a pun!
Hope Owen is ok and looking forward to Wilbur and Bilbo.
I'm worried about Owen, too, Sandyanon. Missed him on both the crossword and the Jumble for two days in a row, and really looked forward to his poem today.
ReplyDeleteI also had trouble with the third item in today's second Jumble. But I looked at the cartoon, and the letters I already had helped me get the Jumble solution pretty quickly. And that in turn gave me the third toughie. Wild and crazy Smoky the Bear story, Ol'Man Keith, pretty much out of the field of that sweet gardening couple.

That's my guess.
Meanwhile, he's searching for the first word of that solution.
I'm afraid my hint had to settle for a near-rhyme (the latter two syllables of "Molester" being only my best effort; it would take a little EXertion to reach the EXact) word).

It's a word I have rarely used--if ever--in the past dozen years.
