The weatherman reported the clouds were full of hail,
ReplyDeleteBut it would remain there while this cold wind did prevail;
So we left our bumbershoots in the umbrella stands at home.
What he left unsaid was, while we were out to roam,
A warm air mass was coming in, intent to melt the clouds.
The ex-hail fell as rain, and drenched the thronging crowds!

I argued with my wife about our restaurant date.
Her Mideast one boasted a falafel and hummus plate.
The seafood one I wanted was more highly recommended.
We had an equitable solution: went where she intended!
"Recovery"
ReplyDeleteThough Phil had some people offended
he remained highly recommended.
His equity was widespread,
while his rancor remained unsaid.
After spending a week in jail
he was released on bail
and his friends could now exhale.
The threw a party for a throng
of friends who in his circle belong.
They served hummus and other great food
which put everyone in a good mood.
With affection they did him drench
because they consider him a mensch.
Phil is now staying on a good course--
he wants no one to have remorse.
I like today's cartoon. This is the familiar view of the Machu Picchu site, with the steep peak of Huayna Picchu ("young mountain") in the background.
