The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.
FLN, WC ~ Here are the hints you requested late yesterday regarding that day’s solution. The references are all to our 6/18 postings, of course.
ReplyDelete1) The first word in my “Background” is much of the solution you seek.
2) The end of Misty’s 7th line is another partial help.
3) Finally, you’ll find the entirety of the second solution word at your feet on the cartoon’s course.

I shall be observing my Sunday day off. No J-words from me today.
Happy FATHERS’ DAY—to all the Sires out there!

"Acting"
ReplyDeleteThe recent role that Rosie played
sadly remained unpaid.
We all did her greatly admire
and didn't want her to retire.
Her performing was so poetic--
both lyrical and aesthetic.
So we voted on a motion
to find her a promotion
at an inland theater in our state,
where her acting was apparently great.
Clearing our throat, we stood up and cheered
that Rosie's acting was finally revered.
Glad to see Rosie found her audience.
ReplyDeleteHope she finally got paid!

Many thanks, for your kind response, OMK, saving me from a totally disastrous Jumble Sunday. We'll have to see if Wilbur or CanadianEh! ever check in with us on a Sunday again. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they will.
ReplyDeleteMisty ~ Owen replied to my email, saying he thinks I am able to use his recent directions to adjust the page in his absence. I told him I doubt I have the time to do it but, if we find somebody, maybe I can explain it to them.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I don’t want to try his directions for fear I will interfere with a current posted page.
