  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Max, “Bongo”’s trainer, thinks the owners don’t appreciate how natural it is for their charge to resist being ridden. Max tries in vain to convince them they don’t need to fetter the young colt’s legs.
One dose of a simple calming medication is available…)

    Hobbled?—Nope!

    “Bongo,” the pony,
will buck. It’s nothing to dwell
    on— one pill, only!

  5. Wishing my American friends a Happy Thanksgiving.
(My title is a visual representation of those mashed potatoes with gravy! Plus a “palindrome” visual after the meal.)

    Puddle Bog

    Bonne fรชte ! Go celebrate!
    Feast on your turkey,
    Tuck it on the plate,
    Pillowed on yams and cranberry.
    Don’t forget the mashed potatoes
with gravy in that round well.
    What a wonderful smell.

  6. OMK- the given words took us in totally different directions today.
Bongo for a pony’s name was original. (I thought about going with a monkey theme, but the Wordle swayed me).
No Spooners from that solution - I went for a palindrome, while you leaned to rhyme.
You hid the second B word and the P word marvellously.
I hid both B words (plus the D word) but you have to work to find them.

WC- we had similar guesses today. Too many rhyming words.

  7. "Recovery"

On a pillow in a hospital
    Doris did dwell.
    There she gobbled good food
    and soon became well.

    In recovery a bongo
    she learned to play
    and a bucket of melodies
    soon cheered up her day.

  8. “A bucket of melodies” sounds like a terrific cheat sheet for a bongo player!
Your ditty, Misty, is a charming record of Doris’ hospital recovery—upbeat & rapid, in good spirits aided by good food.
The way it ought to be!

Thank you, CEh! for your international good will, and for your verbal feast!
I especially appreciate the attention you give to our mashed potatoes, with that yummy gravy puddled in the well.
From French & English beginnings, you disguise the J-words well. Your title is a minor masterpiece. We are surely becoming masters of encoding!

  9. Delightful verses with neat Jumble word usage this morning, and I hope your medication will help your pony. Many thanks Ol' Man Keith, for giving us this Thanksgiving pleasure, and thanks for your very kind and appreciated comments on my own verse.

Thank you too, CanadianEh! for your fun Puddle Bog. That wonderful smell makes me hungry already! Have a great dinner tonight.

And have an appropriate day, Wilbur.

  10. As to our Wordle-grams, WC & CEh! ~
It was the sheer abundance of rhymes
that led me to take the leap I did.

  11. It's not a bad starter word with the two vowels and scrabble one pointers.
My starter got me nada but eliminated two vowels

  12. The usual two day combo

Chet knew he mustn't dwell on office negativity nor gobble up disdain
Let the boys have their bucket of laughs, after all no pain no gain
If it spiraled out of control it might get dicey and to start a fight
Accomplished nothing except to make him look like Bongo the monkey.
He was committed to pray for patience before his head hit the pillow at night.
"Grant me serenity to accept that which I can't change and let the rest be".

  13. Wilbur, I hope Chet gets the patience and serenity he is praying for. And I very much liked your aabcbc rhyme scheme--nice to listen to.

  14. A fine nighttime offering, Wilbur, with Chet reminding himself of his commitment to smart choices.
Along with Misty, I hope he doesn’t backslide.
I am a little alarmed by his re-wording of the AA Prayer: isn’t letting “the rest be” the same as accepting what he “can’t change”? I thought he’d want the courage to change what he can…
    Maybe I’m missing something.
