  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Practicing inter-species compassion, we released a rescued bird back to the wild…)

    ”Freed, Kindly”

    We cleared a finch caught
in a roof tile divide. She
    knew the drill. She flew!

  2. FLN, I knew Wordle was perfect for your starter word, OMK. Next, for the one word I omitted in Chet's sponsor meeting account I dredged up this from a year and a half ago

    Thursday 6/24/21
    Finch,Douse, Feisty, Unlike;
    Shuffled in
    --------
We shuffled into class at the Ed building, Finch hall,
Ready to be doused in literature an hour in her thrall
For yes, it was Ms Norris that would guide in the mysteries of Joyce
Unlike any prof we'd had in Econ, she was feisty but sweet of voice

We heard about diverse theoretical perspectives and
    Oppositional contextualization
Bored we were but we got misty-eyed at the melodious peroration

  3. There are certain tips that must be remembered to successfully deal with the results of all your raking. Some new tools may be required, as per our new friend, Dick ( I am personalizing à la Misty!).

    Dick’s Leaf Render

    Don’t kid yourself!
    If you divide your compost
With only a matter of inches to spare,
You will have no fun - Due to
    A weak liaison.

    Drill down on the problem.

  4. My Wordle with a comment keeps disappearing- my result was not merited as I took a leap of faith for guess four.

OMK- I thought about using Kindly in a title, but ended up in another direction. My result is a little “outré” today (both title and offering).
I had to search for your mangled W word LOL. That R muffles it. But my combo is not too lucid.
So glad your bird was freed.

WC- I should have used that vowel-rich word this morning.
I guessed the two D words FLN .

  5. Dear Wilbur, how can I thank
you for such a lovely sweet verse,
that was in no way a prank,
and such kindness did on me disperse?

Well, in truth, I did always know it--
that you'd be one of my favorite poets.

  6. "Welcome Will"

    The kid-friendly folks did confide
how their fortune they planned to divide.

They drew up a friendly will,
    and then did never flinch
in giving their attorney a drill
on how to weekly distribute each inch
    to make their family thrill.

  7. CEh! ~ Glad you did not let the “R” deter you in your decoding!
I see all the words today either on the surface or just below—in your composting advice. As to the “render” itself, I have too little experience to offer fair feedback. I defer to your (Dick’s) leafy seniority.

Wilbur ~ You honor Misty in your ode, with a well-deserved tribute I’m sure.
Your description of her “feisty but sweet” voice is quite appealing.
Well done, good sir, well done!

Misty ~All the important words in place, and with the bird slightly encrypted!
Seems like a friendly family, all right, with multiple parents gathering together to be certain their kids have future weekly incomes.
I hope I am reading it right, as it is an unusual grouping of folk to agree upon a will. But maybe if they are dealing with “generational wealth,” this is how it is done.
    ~ OMK

  8. Terrific blog morning, starting with Ol' Man Keith's delightful haiku about that poor finch caught in a ceiling tile. So glad he was able to fly away!

Then on to Wilbur's generous and sweet verse, which cleverly worked in finch, douse, feisty, and unlike, to make a lovely work. Makes me misty every time I read it.

This is followed by a series of creative offerings by CanadianEh!'s, beginning with Dick's hopefully undivided compost. Her Wordle looks fantastic--I always wish we could see the actual letters. And then great messages to others.

And, before it was all over, OMK's very kind comment on my hidden finch. Made me smile.

Thank you all for joining to get our morning off to such a great start.

  9. Misty, was your start word CLOUD? I used FINCH from Tuesday's J and the building that Ms Norris taught at Crawling Ivy Univ.

I like to get in a hole and try to find a way out

BTW, I'd say you're getting pretty proficient at Wordle.

My clue couldn't have helped much and I didn't notice if C-eh or OMK left one

  10. I see C-eh 's clue and how masterfully she disguised FINCH

  11. Wilbur, sadly I forgot my first Wordle word. I have got to start remembering to write them down as I change them. I'll try to do better tomorrow or the next day.
