  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:

    “(Shan’t) See to Blink

    Their karate clash
led to Zeke’s loss of sight. (An
    encore won’t be shown.)

  3. “Sri, Shri, Shree - The term is used in Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia as a polite form of address equivalent to the English "Mr." in written and spoken language.”

    Shree Asink

Mr Asink had nary a care,
At healing class he strengthened his iron core,
His sight was perfect, needing no cure.
    Yet sleep eluded him.

  4. OMK- I went with a damp start for Wordle, which totally missed the answer. Your vowel-friendly starter was useful today.
No, I don’t think I want to see a replay of that career-ending karate fight. Poor Zeke (any reason for that choice of name?).
I took the title Spoonerism literally today, and it led to an offbeat offering. Poor tired Mr Asink!

  5. Right, CEh!
Not only was my “vowel-friendly starter” useful, but so was its single consonant!
As for my poor Zeke, I don’t think there’s a particular reason for the choice of his name. It just popped into my head.
    I wonder why…

    Poor Shree Asink.
It must be awful, being in such good shape and yet unable to enjoy the comforts of restful slumber.
He should eat more carrots & mushrooms.

  6. Misty- poor Kate. Do we need to introduce her to the 5 step program?

  7. Well, I guess Kate found out, wine and winning do not mix!
Misty, if your Kate had been matched with Zeke, he would surely be a seeing-man today. She at least knew the point of friendly competition is not to permanently disable your opponent.
