  1. FLN, Misty ~ See the long poem for you late yesterday.

    Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Our domestic shorthair admits that fast moving, crafty wild cats are stronger. But she blames it on the fact that we bathe her, thus sapping energy.
She hates the tub; she’ll bite & scratch & scream at it; she’ll run from its sight, inventing all kinds of ways to…)

    ”Hit Her Bath”

    The basic health of
    feral beasts shames pets. Crafty
    moves grant exercise.

  3. Charisma should be accounted for
    In movie characters we adore.
    Superman is cute,
    Hulk is a brute,
But he has a catchphrase when he gets sore!

  5. Hit on Behalf

    We discover to our shame
That ignoring basic health is to blame
For poor quality of life in the latter half
Crafty centenarians have learned to laugh
And smashed the barriers of time.

  6. OMK- you did a much better job with the title than I did today. My offering needs work to polish, but no time today. I can just picture that feral beast in the tub.

Owen- you force us to make a jump today from Hulk to the W. Great work.

I used the other Bot starter then OMK and struggled. I see WC posted last night and beat me also.
Maybe Misty will try after our hints.

  7. CEh, I see you caught my comic book reference. Did you also see the hidden word?

  8. “…While also crashing those of Rhyme.”
    Thank you, CEh!
I like how you saved the outlier line to the end.
You caught me, mixing up the shenanigans of my “feral beast” with those of my pet. Who gets more exercise?

Owen ~ ”Charisma Should” should be the name of a new B’way SRO show.
Good job coming at the W in multiple ways…

  9. "Lame Game"

Basically, Susan did feel some shame,
since she knew she deserved some blame.
    Her talents included some stealth,
and she was crafty and in good health.
But they lost the game because she was a poor hitter,
and this did make them half bitter.
Yet though her team did not give her a cheer,
they still bought her a bottle of beer.

  10. And Misty, we know a full bottle
can be speedier than a full throttle
    to fill you with cheer
    (Let's hear it for beer!)
    from Zanzibar to Nahuatl.

  11. Ol' Man Keith,
    I hope you'll go
    on a trip to Mexico,
where I know they'll hold you dear
and offer you more than a bottle of beer.
    Zanzibar is far too far
and may sell no beer in any bar.

  12. Great “back and forth” poetry, Misty and OMK.

Owen- I had to search for your hidden W. it didn’t pop out for me, possibly because of the different A sound. (But maybe it’s my Canadian accent.)

Misty- poor Susan, a poor hitter in spite of all her other skills. But her teammates were generous, and recovered from their bitterness enough to give her a beer. That’s true team spirit, and a proper attitude toward sport. Play your best, win or lose, enjoy the game, enjoy the company of your teammates.

  13. Thank you for the kind comment, CanadianEh!--I hope someone tells Susan that she had better start dealing with her basic health issues, if she wants to have a good life.

  14. True, ‘tis, that Zanzibar is dry,
(‘Tho Tanzania allows guests to drink)
but beer can be cheered up to the sky,
even if fans are left on the brink
of dismay, deprived of their ale—
knowing a sip might land them in jail.

Happy we are, knowing Susan lives here,
    with good sports for teammates who forgive lousy hits;
and she needn’t be punished for the bottle of beer
they give, ‘cuz she’s the Boobie they don’t love to bits.
If Susie ain’t cheap, she’ll spring another round,
& on & on, as their sorrows they drown.
    ~ OMK

  15. Wow! Terrific verse responses to my earlier ones, OMK, many thanks for making the evening end (it's bedtime) on such a pleasant note.
