ReplyDelete“Knows the (Opinion[ated]) Column”
The printing press screamed
aloud from its bias, and
toppled-down-bottom.

He might have just lapped it,

Press it down with your boots,
Don’t topple the sign IDing the flower,
Read it aloud, “Bottom of the Bower”.
Dan, in Egypt for a vacay

He put it on the lump

"To Tell or Not to Tell"
ReplyDeletePaul at first refused to confess
his problem to the press.
It could topple his reputation
and cost him his job at the station.
This could lead to the bottom of his career,
and pose a fate he did anxiously fear.
But in the end he bravely vowed
to tell his adventure aloud:
an act his community wowed
and in the end made Paul feel proud.
Jenga is a hard game to play,
ReplyDeleteTo take each log piece away.
Comments are not wanted from the crowd.
No talking aloud is allowed.
If you try to take one from the bottom,
Future balancing may pose a problem.
You can try to press and then pull,
But friction, you know, is pure evil!
If you don't want to topple the blocks
Play your game against Michael J. Fox!
Thank you, thank you, OMK--what a lovely gift you gave us this morning. I can't use if for my coffee, but it's gratefully in my heart:

My goodness, Ol' Man Keith, it's not your writers but their instruments that are creating havoc this morning. What a way to start a day!
ReplyDeleteCanadianEh!, that is one active garden minding itself. Hope all grows well!
Owen, I think Dan should play those games with Michael J., and not hassle those camels.
Wilbur, we miss you! Come back and give us a poem!

ReplyDeleteSeems Paul is a fine ducky- duck
to practice transparency with luck.
He decided to be open,
aloud, and outspoken,
and it didn’t cost him one lowly buck!
As for Wordle, glad I cd help!
Owen ~ Jenga is a game I never could get a feel for. I suppose Mr. Fox would automatically grant me the advantage, but I could hardly feel like a gentleman, could I?
I am not sure, CEh, why you want to layer straw around your flowers.
I never gardened long enough to reach that level of understanding.
