  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:

    Lick It? (a) Bust!

    It was the icing
    on Little Richard’s album (!)
    and it was sticky.

    The blue snake sucked lemon,

  3. Old Tom liked to leaf through his album
Of his rodeo days, when he used io ride 'em!
He'd won a few buckles in his day.
Along with some broken bones on the way!

The prize money was the icing on the cake.
For Tom, the champion buckle was the stake!
Things got a little sticky at times.
That animal, to be friendly, was not inclined!

Being on top of that bucking bronco or bull,
To risk kicking the bucket, gave life its pull.
On a list of what Tom proudly had done,
Riding in the rodeo was number one!

Now Tom was "Old Tom", over the hill.
But his memories still gave him a thrill!

  4. The Snakes And Ladders rollercoaster ride
Looks like it's not that hard to abide.
    Slowly ride to heaven --
    O, Mamma, I can't even! --
My stomach's still a-chuting down that slide!

  5. "Relationship Recovery"

    Charlotte had a talented chum
    who produced a musical album
for which he arranged the licensing
and its success was his career icing.

Sadly, while he was so busy
he and Charlotte met only a little
and this made their relationship brittle.
Their exchanges became terse and sticky
and this ended their friendship quickly.

This had not been on their bucket list
and Charlotte her boyfriend sadly missed.
And he too remembered how fondly they kissed.
So he sent her a lovely bouquet,
which made her happy and gay.
They reunited the very next day
and now their love is here to stay.

  6. Oh, the secret that heaven contains
oft a touch of evil explains!
    Owen’s verse can unlock more
than we see as we enter the door.
    Just dig between lines 3 & 4!

    Misty receives today’s hints
like a “Help Yourself” bowl of mints.
Her own poem gives us reason to plumb
the happy tale of Charlotte & her chum.
It’s good he remembered their kiss
as a promise of connubial bliss,
for that’s what it turned to in time,
    an ending so typically sublime!

  7. OMK,

How venom got into a lemon
    I'll guess we'll never know,
but let's hope the snake will survive
and continue to grow and thrive.

    Owen,

I'm glad Tom gave it a go,
and got prizes from his rodeo.
Let's hope he'll now just as happy be,
at home watching rodeos on TV.

    Wilbur,
    I had no luck
    solving a Wordle with "pluck.
