  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:
(In feudal times, felons could be sentenced to exile if their offenses were “hectic,” i.e., liable to foment frantic support by others. [Middle transgressions were assigned the lash or bondage.]
One particularly serious felony was committed by any monastery member who sponged off of local citizens, this one known as a…)

    Exiles were undue
if the crimes were deemed middle
    in shame, not hectic.

  5. I used a random starter. Who would have thought there were so many possibilities for that middle letter.

  6. Thanks FLN to you all.
I may not make it back as we have one set of grandkids coming to celebrate July birthdays.
    Let the fun begin.

  7. "Growing Up"

When Edgar was only a child,
he was sent away from home and exiled.
His new parents were kind and he grew,
with no problems that were undue.

In his teens his folks bought him a fiddle
and he played in a band in the middle.
It was a hobby that was hectic
but it gave him a new perspective.

Now every Sunday he still likes his folks to meet,
and serve them lunch, which they consider a treat.

  8. Loved the near rhyme, Misty, hectic/perspective, but also your truer ones!
    A good job throughout!

And your ultra-clever Wordle plant, Owen!

  11. OMK, I love the way you turn Jumble solutions into your titles: LUNCH MEET/MONK LEECH.
Brilliant. And thank you for the kind words about my verse.

Wilbur, you clearly got OMK's clue too and I bet that's why you weren't afraid.

On the other hand, Owen, your miserable verse ending turned us all into LUNCH MEET.

Have a wonderful happy and exciting day with your lovely grandchildren, CanadianEh!!

And have a great Sunday, tomorrow, everybody!
