  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:
(At our Casino, the lady dealers are all called “Tillie.”
At the Blackjack tables, dealers draw cards by strict rules. Those Tillies love to lose—because they get their tips when customers win!)

    ”Plural Tillies (are) Merrier (Tonight)!”

    Minions to millions,
the fave encore deal hoists host’s
    Blackjack score to “Bust”!

  4. A Jack Russell terrier, one day,
Came across some Minions in his way.
He barked at them and jumped around a bunch.
The Minions just continued with their lunch.

The terrier had a military bent.
Thought the Minions should know his intent.
So he barked at the Minions to stand in file.
The Minions thought they might do that in a while.

It happened they were on a rural road,
By a pickup truck that'd spilled its load.
As the Minions tried to hoist the bales of hay,
The little dog was getting in the way.

The Jack Russell felt he'd made them do this chore,
So he barked at them to do an encore!

  6. How to be a happier farmer and
    Till Merrier

If you win the Encore lottery,
You can buy a rural property,
Hoist a flag, chart a garden plot.
Make your minions plow the ground,
While you enjoy and loll around.

  8. "Smart Art"

    The neighborhood was rural
but the people loved the mural.
It was painted on the wall,
so no need to hoist it at all.

No one had seen anything like it before
so it received an enthusiastic encore.
The only complaint came from a minion
who gave it a highly negative opinion.

The painting had crossed some barriers,
because it depicted a kennel full of terriers.
Still, the mural was a big hit,
    and the newspaper celebrated it.

  10. Glad to help, Misty ~ especially because you helped me yesterday!
    Reciprocation is grand, isn’t it?
What was your first guess? It couldn’t have been HEART, could it?
    Or SMART, right?
Keep in mind, that it will never be a word I have already used in my hinting poem!

  11. There are so many word puzzles out there -- seven little words, several targeted versions of the Jumble, absurdle, and so on. We aren't overloading here by restricting ourselves to just the Daily Jumble and Wordle, and my occasional jigsaw puzzle from Jigidi. But I still want to add one more.

  12. Orijin. I've done it occasionally for years, but now I'd like to add it here. Like Wordle, it's only a single word or idiom per day, so could be stirred in with Wordle, so you don't need to output any more hints. Try it, and you'll see why I like it so much.

    Garbage in, garbage out,
    That's what A. I. 's are all about.
    We stuff them with data,
    Never mind the errata,
Then wonder at the nonsense they spout!

  14. Owen, I tried Originz and bombed. Guess it's a learning curve, because I still don't understand all the processes and rules. I'll try again.

(P.S. I'm NOT back, just responding to Owen's suggestion.)

  15. OMK, my first Wordle guess today, inspired by your poem, was APART. I then switched to the one that turned out to be correct. Thanks again for the helpful hint.
