Today’s Jumble haiku:
(The C-word demands a serious response. We have lost two little dogs to these predators. In response, we’ve raised our fences and added spikes on top & to an alley window.
These seem to be keeping them out. Today’s poem imagines a way to protect a pet rodent in a mouse house—and it may just provide a way out, if you…)

After breaking the window frame,
some critters came into the house.
They were both wild and tame,
and included a coyote and a mouse.
The owners an easy solution found:
they took both animals to the pound.

Yes, the pound is the place for them. Especially if it’s an animal services facility that doesn’t “put them down” within a set period of time.
