Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Each NFL team gets one pick per round, although teams may trade picks to improve their position. Today’s poem imagines such a happy choice. Execs stared at the “star” they just acquired—and stored him away before resuming business.

Before the Heavy Horse Pull (teams with cart compete to see which team can pull the most weight), a gooey mixture of BioSponge, alfalfa/timothy cubes, peppermint treats, carrots, apples soaked in warm water, was given to the horses.

OMK- we Spoonered for the title differently today, which resulted in totally different creations (football vs. horses!). (Were you watching NFL games yesterday?!). Plus different meanings for several of those J words. I smiled at your backstory.
I went with a haiku today, but my last line is missing the Aha IMHO. (My misspelling of teeming is deliberate.)
"Fame"
Tina was not the type
that would over small problems gripe.
When the press rejected her article draft,
she didn't get angry--she just laughed.
Tina always had her feet on the ground
and good solutions to problems found.
Then when her first book made her famous,
it created a considerable fuss.
The cheering would not stop
for she was now in her field at the top.
So she let all her followers know
that she valued and thanked them so.
Misty- Tina sounds like a level-headed person, who finds solutions to problems, and continues her projects even when receiving negative reviews. Her success is well-earned. I think the best part is that she values and thanks her followers. Truly a great person.
My goodness, the things I learn on this blog! Ol' Man Keith, I had to look up 'gawp', and learned that it was a British term to stare at something in a slack-jawed (rude or sloppy) way. Hope I've never done that to anyone or anything, and I have to say I feel sorry for that poor draft choice.
CanadianEh!, I'm happy that your horses didn't mind being fed some bio-sponge (sloppy or sticky) glop. But good for you to give a haiku such a clever try. You and OMK are beginning to tempt me to try a haiku sometime myself, but probably not this week, which is very busy and a bit nerve-wrecking for me. Oh, and Tina thanks you for your very kind comment.
I like your "Heavy Horse Pull," CEh! The equine imagery is more appealing, I think, than the football draft. Yes, I was watching some televised games, but it was the word "draft" that had me thinking of the NFL.
I think the desire to Spoonerise is taking both of us into weird (well, unexpected & awkward) places. The best Spoons are probably easier, more natural.
Just as with the tone and flip of haiku, there is a "spirit" here that is elusive. We are not bad at the formal structure, but...
