|| || nudge, dwell, auburn, fairly, all "a-greed".

The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

  1. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away,
On the planet Tatooine, where the bantha play,
In a desert town above auburn and umber sand,
A bounty hunter met with the smuggler, Han.

They met in Mos Eisley, where scum and villain dwelt.
Each to play the part that his destiny had dealt.
The two sat face to face, the cantina music played.
A finger nudged a trigger, and Greed-o's life was paid!

Was Han a hero or a hoodlum? The question's in the air.
Was it cold-blooded murder, or a dual fought and fair?
A remake tried to retcon the press of this outburst.
But purists all agreed, it was that Han shot first!

  2. The jumble clues were simple to unscramble, but I blocked on the solution. So I read your fascinating narrative, Owen, and saw the word I needed and that was it!

Your Star Wars revamp is great. I'm definitely on Han's side.

  3. Well, I would not have gotten this Jumble without your poem, Owen. I had trouble with #3 at first, and your poem helped me get that one. Then I filled in the solution but it just didn't feel right to me. When I re-read your poem with my first solution in mind, I figured out what I had wrong. And then I finally got it! Thank you so much--I could not have done it without you this morning.
