Actually I think this one IS clever. I laughed at the playfully amusing pair of homophones. And I think the cartoon and solution parallel each other really well.

and practiced their vows with a timer.
For their reception they planned a ballet
where dancers would spiral and saute.
On the day, their pastor did their marriage bless--
And this assured them it would be a great success.
A clever poem, Misty, almost a limerick rhythm. And very smartly using the balletic meaning of sauté.
ReplyDeleteI see Mitch and Mary as two very disciplined people, actually rehearsing with a timer (!) so as not to try their guests' patience.

OMK, the way you manage to work all four Jumble words plus the solution into a two line verse with a title never ceases to amaze me. I keep thinking they can't all be there--but there they were. Bravo! And the brief verse itself had a theme that worked appropriately with the words. Wow!

ReplyDeleteBTW, how is Maggie holding up psychologically? This cannot have been a normal few days for her.
Keeping my fingers crossed that Maggie's surgery goes well, and that she'll have a good recovery. Not easy for a pup, but if it solves her problem, it will be wonderful.
