The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.
LOL, FLN, Wilbur ~ Be sure to check the long title to my short haiku….

ReplyDeleteWhen Holly became old,
her house was sold.
She felt herself in limbo
with no place to go.
So she took to the hills
where in her tent she suffered chills.
A worker her took her to a shelter
where the staff worked helter-skelter
to get her clothes and sandals
and a fresh salad and some candles.
Now Holly is content
and glad she no longer lives in a tent.
CE! ~ If you started “vowel-rich,” I wonder why it took two levels to find them…
ReplyDeleteI guess you didn’t take my hint. Good for you!
Holly’s adventure was fun to read, Misty, but sad in the first stage. It can’t be pleasant to be evicted in old age.
Tell her I appreciated the proper grammar! Shows dignity even during her hardship.
Candles can be very cheery. I wonder if the workers serve Limbo Salad?

Re. Wordle. I had 3 possible letters: J,Y,N. And two guesses. I use hard mode else with one guess like: JAUNT I could eliminate two.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind on the mystery of why Uncle Charles has "A big problem with wedding.

Good for you, Misty! Brava!
ReplyDeleteNow you may look at my Wordle hint.
And Wilbur, you can check it out as well. (I don't know why you are left with "J" and "Y." "N," for sure, assuming you're on #346.)

Thank you for your, once again, very kind comment on my verse, Ol' Man Keith.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I have to admit I had trouble getting your Limbo salad verse this morning, though.
Did it contain a Wordle hint? If so, I'm afraid I don't see it.
Check my title, Misty.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I did not realize it was so well hidden.
What's wrong with my chosen spelling of a common word?
~ OMK
Oh, the salad? That is merely the recipe.
ReplyDeleteIf you follow a Caesar Salad, but not all the way, assuming the would-be emperor completed the journey to Hades, and you stop off next door.
The Limbo is without the anchovy “meat,” a vegan sin-less alternative.

Thank you, thank you, OMK! I should have seen your Wordle right there in your title all along, only I never noticed it, in the sense of paying attention to it, until now. Since you're so great at all this, it would be cool to have you do Wordles with us too, more often. If not, maybe I'll start checking your haikus for Wordle clues. At any rate, thank you for explaining.
ReplyDeleteOMK, I saw your hints and Ced 's hints but I'd failed on wordle just after midnight.
ReplyDeleteOn 5 and 6 I tried MAJOR and MAYOR

Well, maybe I'll do one occasionally-- *if* I don't spot the answer first.
ReplyDeleteAs I've been saying, I see the web chock-full of the answers, so it is no longer fun for me to guess the levels.
~ OMK
Sorry! Not this one. I have already seen the answer.
ReplyDeleteCouldn’t help it.
