The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.
I began with a common French word…

“EZ, Please, with the Headwinds!”
Buddy, the honcho
of our Mosaic Workshop,
sports a Christo weave.

Head honcho to buddy,
“The mosaic tiles go into the apron of the fountain.”
Mist and strong headwinds made things muddy
And delayed them on the mountain.

ReplyDeleteBob had a very kind buddy
who helped him with work in his study.
The guy was a diligent honcho
who enjoyed wearing a poncho.
He helped Bob design a mosaic
that looked ancient and archaic.
They worked hard to create no peeve,
which did good spirits weave.
In the end Bob promoted his peer
with a headwind that launched his career.
Misty,
ReplyDeletePlease attend to me, pronto,
your Bob & Canada’s honcho
could be the same guys!
They might take the prize
if applying to my atelier.
(We’ll negotiate the pay.)
Let’s unite our tiles
& not be so dispersed.
our co-op is all smiles;
free-lancing’s the worst!
Please consider the joy that harmony brings.
Weigh my offer; it comes with no strings!

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy getting your news,
but even more, your clever haikus.
Now your longer verses are an even bigger treat
though I fear, as a poet, you may me defeat.
But I don't care: just keep up you new poetic feat.
P.S., OMK,
ReplyDeleteMy response to your offer is "I'm in!"
By working together, we both will win.
CanadianEh!,
ReplyDeleteLove that your fountain had an apron,
which would be fun, but not easy to don.
But at least muddy buddy will get a bath,
and hopefully take on a whole new path.
Yes, CanadianEh!
ReplyDeleteJoin us for real!
I’m sure you’ll be glad. We work con brio,

C&L at the threshold
ReplyDeleteThe couple arrived at Charles and Nora's mosaic tiled patio.
Chet's head was still roiled; weaving interrelationship ratios
"Could we survive as buddies?" Chet idly pondered.
"The headwinds may be against us but my love won't be squandered"
"Charles may be a head honcho, a downtown ViP
But does he understand true love? Healthy life's recipe?"
ReplyDeleteFLN, MISTY & WILBUR ~ I was going to ask about your current Wordles,
but I see neither of you replied to my question yesterday.
How about it?
Was PRIOR your next-to-last word?
(No sense my trying again if there's no interest...)
Thanks.
C & L seem to be on the verge of the ultimate commitment. I wonder how much their plans depend on Charles--if at all.
They seem to care a lot about his opinion, even though they aren't sure how much he understands of their feelings for one another.

Misty- I fooled you with that apron. I was thinking of the lesser-known meaning - .
ReplyDeletea small area adjacent to another larger area or structure.
"a tiny apron of garden"
a hard-surfaced area on an airfield used for maneuvering or parking aircraft.
"the pilot was instructed to park on the main apron"
a projecting strip of stage for playing scenes in front of the curtain.
noun: apron stage;”
WC- I’m rooting for Chet &Lois.
OMK & Misty - how kind of you to profer your offer?
I would be a jerk to not make it work.
I am agleam to be on your team,
And will commit without remitment!
OMK, sorry I overlooked it. PRIOR sounds familiar. I actually can't remember anything about a wordle five minutes after solving. Btw, here's my latest

And while I'm at it more about Chet and Lois(Friday js)
No one threw a party like Nora whether a family gathering
Or a Cabernet, Merlot winery-fest with everything.
For the abstainers there were foamy mugs of root beer
She could outbid the A-list crowd and have only the best there
But no written invitations tonight, that wasn't to be Nora's way
She wanted Chet and Lois to relax, lay back and enjoy the day

Thanks, WC.
ReplyDeleteI dunno about your #362 Wordle.
I'd take a stab with PRAWN... Maybe?
(Too soon to try #363.)
Your latest poem celebrates Nora's hostessing skill, with a clever usage of the J-words well sprinkled about.
My fave were your "foamy mugs of root beer."
We must wait a bit longer to see how Charles may affect C&L's romance!
