  1. Today’s Jumble haiku:
Newborn joeys have a most affectionate nickname.
This new mum has a sweet baby…

    In Her (marsupial) Hole

    “Is there enough warmth
in my pouch?” asks Kanga of
    her “Jellybean,” Roo.

  4. "Wedded Life"

The grouch sat on the couch,
eating crunchy stuff from a pouch.
He felt his life had been tough,
and he had put up with enough.

But then his kind wife, Kelly,
came in and turned on the telly,
and gave him some toast with jelly.

    He ended up totally charmed
by his sweet wife's gift of warmth.
He now has a whole new goal:
a home life with no hole.

  5. A near perfect three stanzas from our Misty today. A take on wedded life that’s a real delight to read!
My morning was improved by reading it.

As was my late night composing of my own short piece, when quick research showed that “jellybean” is actually a common substitute for “Joey.” Who woulda thunk it?

  7. Not a real Woohoo! but got the Wordle on the second try, after finally getting Ol' Man Keith's hint. Many thanks for that.

  8. I second the kudos for Misty's warm account of the taming of the grouch.

Was that sourdough toast? With a selection of honey, marmalade and various jellies?

    Who could stay surly
    With such a sweet girly

  9. BTW, I like to start Wordle with a J word if there's no E

It was perfect as I quickly had #1,2 and the E which I naturally thought would be at #5.

I just bought a new supply of CoQ10 which may keep Mr S at bay

  10. Forgot to tell you that I loved your sweet Kanga, talking to the little Roo in her pouch this morning, OMK. Your haikus are always a delight.

My goodness, Wilbur, that toast you describe is bound to be better than anything the grouch's wife might have made for him. I usually eat cereal in the morning, but I wouldn't pass up a piece of toast like that.

Glad we got a Wordle from CanadianEh! and Wilbur this morning, but no sign of Owen. Hope all is okay with him.

  11. Once I saw WARMTH and POUCH, Misty, I couldn't imagine anything but a marsupial mommy.
I wondered if the Jumble makers had Kanga in mind!
    (And her lil' jellybean.)

    I see your dilemma, WC.
When you thought the "E" belonged at the end, you had 4 or 5 choices (easily) facing you. If it moved to the 4th spot, you would've locked into the answer.

I've heard of that co-enzyme, Wilbur. Why do you take it? WHO is Mr S?
I don't mean to pry, but you brought it up.

  12. OMK, CoQ10 is alleged to help with brain functioning.
I had two bottles which gradually diminished and was careless about refilling.

My CHIVE,CHIME,CHIDE and finally CHILE idiocy got me to Walgreens.

    I'm good for 6 months.

Mr S is my dear pal , Mr Stupidity, who often makes suggestions re. Xword fills.

As you see he was right there cheering me along on today's wordle.

BTW, I'll be solving same in 5 minutes
