ReplyDeleteToday’s Jumble haiku:
(Today’s words led me to think of a substitute diplomatic editor on his 1st temporary assignment, serving until his unpreparedness was uncovered…)
“(Those Un)spoke(n) Columns”
As envoy for a
spell, he served through an outage—
till he got unmasked.
~ OMK
Wonder where this word to hide
ReplyDeleteTo keep it safe from prying eye?
Thread it thru
Where it's due:
One by two, three, four, five!
OwenKL- brilliant way to hide the Wordle!
ReplyDelete(News) Of Smoke Looms
ReplyDeleteStamp out ageism,
Unmask white privilege,
Spell out gender bias.
Not all rights
Are equally enjoyed.
I worry about the consequences.
OMK- my offering is pessimistic today (perhaps influenced by news headings). Your editor was not up to the task and was unmasked.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say you're pessimistic, CEh!. You're at least calling for reform.
ReplyDeleteI'm just describing an event, not taking sides.
~ OMK
"Grooms Volumes"
ReplyDeleteThe envoy did his best not to annoy--
his job was to bring people joy.
During our recent outage
he went on stage
and told us it was our task
to start wearing a mask.
It turned out that what he spoke
was not a joke
and we survived the outage spell
and are again doing well.
Misty's envoy brings a note of optimism, as his advice points directly toward a happy result.
ReplyDeleteWearing a mask = survival!

Thank you for the kind response to my verse, Ol' Man Keith. Your haiku once again just absolutely amazed me: it was all there, title play on the solution, and then all four J words in perfect order, one after the other in your brief, terse, always brilliant haiku. You are a master of this art, sir.
ReplyDeleteYour offering had strong feelings, CanadianEh!--glad you were able to post them.
Didn't quite get the Wordle in your verse, Owen, but still enjoyed it--many thanks.
One two three four five.
ReplyDeleteThe first letter in line one,
second letter in line two,
and so on.
