  1. Daisy May was a trying child, that much was certainly true!
She wouldn't stay neat, she wouldn't stay clean. What can a parent do?
She'd jump in every puddle, even without her galoshes!
She liked to play at being a pirate, but she wouldn't buckle her swashes!

Daisy May was a trying child, that much was certainly true!
She didn't like to take a bath, and she hated to shampoo!
Her mother's nerves she kept so taunt, like on the stylist visit
She wriggled so in the barber chair, her style was named What-is-it!

Daisy May was a trying child, that much was certainly true!
She liked to torture little boys, she thought it fun to do!
She'd trip them or she'd punch them, she'd get them into trouble!
And when she grew up beautiful, she tortured them quite double!

  2. Gah! Husker Gary has pointed out to me that I used taunt (make fun of) where I should have used taut (pulled tight) in verse 2, line 3. 😳

  4. I got the four words, a trouble with #2 . But, I couldn't get the riddle. I thought UDDER or UTTER my be in there . Then Phil suggested the 3 letter word(how many, given the available letters could there be?).

And of course it's all in the lyrics , even that 3 ltr word.

  5. So, did we all have the Edison puzzle to do this morning? I couldn't believe six items to fill, but thankfully I got them all without any problem, and the reveal also filled right in. Yay! Hope everyone's morning started so well!

  6. Easy Jumble today and wonderful poem, Owen! I won't taunt you about taut, though.
Misty, today's J has the usual four puzzles; the Sunday one normally has six.

  7. Thanks, Lucina--now I understand why everyone has been taunting everyone. Happily, I got this one easily and smoothly, with no need to work on unscrambling anything. Great game, in my judgment.

  8. Yep - easy-peasy today, like slicing butter, a piece o' cake.

    (Will we pay tomorrow?)
