There are several other Jumble blogs, but the ones I checked all started off by listing the answers. In this blog, answers can be either hinted at or masked by burying them in comments. No overt spoilers!
Gorn'Da took to space, ti's saucer-ring turning, To Earth, impelled by dark matter burning.
Daniel was out taking his evening constitutional When he saw a U.F.O., sure he was delusional!
Gorn'Da beamed Dan up to the saucer in the sky, Then zoomed out to the stars without a good-by. Shock and fear kept the Earther docile for a time, While a two-meter tall dragon tried to ease his mind!
Ti showed the human the galley, and where to bunk. Dan was thirsty, but his only drink got him drunk! He imagined a ship, bounding over the main, and Leading a mutiny, force the pirate captain to land!
This should have been easy. I sailed through the prelims and had half the answer right away. I've even spent a goodly amount of time in the very state. But I couldn't close the deal. And all because I had misspelled one of the prelim words! (Despite the spelling badge I proudly wear from the second grade at St. Vincent's.) I had LEGALY for #4, thinking it was one of those double-L optional words. (It isn't.) When I finally got it straightened out, I felt like Homer S. (D'oh!) This turned out to be the tough one I've been seeking. And all my own damn fault!
Don't feel bad, Ol'Man Keith. I also thought of LEGALY for #4 and had the same uncomfortable feeling that they wouldn't use a questionable spelling in a Jumble, and so thankfully kept working until I got the G word. Glad it all worked out for you. Now I have to see if I can visit that part of New Eng-land sometime.
I have visited that very beautiful New England state with my sisters. Today's solve recalled some lovely memories and impelled me to quickly look for the solution. I landed on both feet with no help from galley! Very exciting quest, Owen! No mutiny in the future, I hope.
Sandyanon ~ I'm willing to bet Daniel will succeed, and Earth will be saved! Only Owen knows for sure, and he ain't telling yet.
But I'm thinking in the short run of course. All epics are told in human spacetime. In the long run, naturally, we're all just snowflakes on a hot griddle. Don't mind me: I've been listening to TED talks during my exercise routine, and to Neil deGrasse Tyson. While there's no hard evidence, I'm betting on a yoyo cosmos in which we humans just come along for a short part of the ride.... Then Kwoo-oosh!
I mentioned the J over " there". I always go "Misty" on Saturday slogs eg when stumped do a J. In my case I was behind a day so I did two. Btw Friday was hard(XW) but grok'ing the themes helped a lot.
I had no problem yesterday or today but my mind was cooking from Sam's torture chamber. Btw, I hope Dan doesn't end up in one.
As Owen said the outcome depends on tomorrow's Jumble(s???). Owen, you can use both, 10 words, two riddles. By that time Dan will be King of the universe like that Kipling guy.

(More to come!)
This was out of this world.
My only help was to verity the last letter of word 3. Some words came easily, and some were hard to pull out. The sol. came easily.
Fun Jumble this morning. Had trouble only with 2, but got them all and loved the solution, even though I'm not a New Englander.
Got all the items in your clever poem, Owen.
Well, I'm following Dan's adventure with bated breath. Will he disappear forever? Will he save Earth?

BTW, don't use the "Preview" today.
I tried it twice - and both times lost my post.
You Go, Owen! This is an epic, man!

Ah well, as long as there's life somewhere, who ever said it had to be human life??
Right! We could be reincarnated as a cockroach, right?
Or maybe a Toxic Amoeba?
