A group of trusty pilots, brothers of the sky
Swore on their bushy 'staches they could fly!
They soared higher than the krauts,
Right into the dragon's mouth!
Didn't blink to look the Great War in the eye!

Lafayette, they were there! Great verse, Owen; it even reads like the period.

The jumble was Monday easy. Didn't even need the clues, but I unscrambled them anyway, just for completeness.

From there to "P51, the Cadillac of the sky!"
A neat, compact poem!
I wonder if the 20th will be remembered as the Century of the Air...

This was a perfect Monday Jumble, a relief after a tough weekend. I breezed through the clue words, with only a little hesitation on the last one, and the solution was there even before I started checking if I had all the letters. And Owen, I can't believe how you worked all the words into such a brief poem, along with the theme. Brilliant!
