because they had a quorum.
The attendees were served hot coffee
along with some sweet toffee.
Each speaker firmly argued a case
and none mouthed off without a base.
When they were done they were a bit weary,
but the good meeting left them cheery.

I reckon that was indeed a good meeting, Misty, where folk got plenty off their chests.

I imagine that “sweet toffee” was a contributing factor.
I’m a great believer in the power of intake/outgo. What goes in sweet comes out even sweeter! Right?!
