The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.
ReplyDeleteHint: Starts with W; a controversial matter & a measure of cheese.

”A Squiggly Quotient”
This group’s quota is
liquid, based on need. It’s thought
a useful metric.

"Cooking Show"
ReplyDeleteThe clever cooking group
created a fabulous soup
and even reached a new quota
by inventing a tangy new soda.
After reaching their status quo
they created a new TV show.
Their first program focused on liquid,
teaching a kid how to cook a squid.
But viewers had to be truthful
and admit this was not very useful.
So the group's back to baking dough
in an effort to save their show.
Wow, Misty! A soup AND a soda!!
ReplyDeleteThat's all your group should have had to do--before retiring to enjoy their wealth from royalties.
And then a TV show to top it all!
Good for you, you managed to squeeze a lot of their history into a very few lines.
If only they hadn't push that kid with the squid...
Another sad tale of overreach, eh?

Loved your "Squiggly Quotient," Ol' Man Keith. Yes, we had a lot of liquids in this morning's Jumble. But still fun. And I enjoyed the tough Friday puzzle too. No luck with the Wordle, though, although I tried. But I'll try again tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLooks like our team-mates may be starting a busy weekend a day early. So I'm thankful you got this blog started, and made me comfortable checking in too. Have a great weekend coming up!
