Todayโs Jumble haiku:
(The former East German Kriminalpolizei [KriPo] reportedly could send secret messages โbetween the dotsโ on government-made B/W television setsโinfra-red pixelation between medium and high-res.
[I tried to understand the formulas & figures involved in their screen algorithms, but my grasp of math is terrible.]
When the Berlin Wall came down, KriPo sent self-destructive signals over the DDR channel to remove all traces of this code system. They counted this as their finalโฆ)

Pixel ratios

Questions may arise about this situation,
But do not give in to trepidation.
What may seem strange
Will be explained
Storms may come but they'll lead to adulation!
"Difficulty"
The pixel on the screen
was difficult to be seen.
Pete found the ratio of images picky
which made solving the puzzle even more tricky.
This gave him a phobia that bothered him a bit
and he feared he'd be considered a hippocrit.
And so he just up and quit his job
and joined the unemployment mob.
Arithmophobia is fear of numbers.
Math makes your brain feel numb and number.
But with screens of liquid crystals,
Displays are calculated in pixels.
Screen ratios can at times be tricky.
Get them wrong and things look icky.
People look thin, people look fat,
(You could make a sci-fi film like that!
Tho a film or TV reviewer/critic
Who prefers things look authentic,
May not like an altered viewpoint
Horse herds looking like hippo phalanx!)
Now I've wandered off my topic.
My brain, I fear, grows chaotic!
Wow, Misty, your guy Pete tried hard to see that pixel. Maybe it was one of the invisible (infra-red) pixels broadcast back in the old KriPo days. No wonder he couldnโt read it.
Whatever the origin of the pixel, itโs a shame that he quit. I am unclear why he thought heโd be viewed as a hypocriteโunless heโd been claiming he could solve such puzzles under any condition. We did not have information to support that motive.
Owen ~ You started well in expressing your response to the complexity of screen math, then meandered off your track. All in all, this was a real time example of the kind of confusion besetting many in poetry and the arts.
It may be a defensive smoke thrown up to shield our fragile egos.
No sign again today of CanadianEh! I hope she is all right. She told us of a family crisis, which we can only wish will resolve favorablyโand soon.

Very clever haiku this morning, Ol' Man Keith: you managed to include all four Jumble words, and then the solution in reverse in your title. Well done!
Terrific discussion of the complexities of visual representations, Owen, until the end of your third part when everything seemingly fell apart at the end with that 'phalanx'. Then, when I read your last two lines, you just cracked me up. Delightful surprise, a real pleasure, thank you.
This one was difficult, but I had no doubt.

Quick post as I needed a break, and did the W.
In the middle of two Celebration of Life family times, and one will involve travel. I will be AWOL for a while.
Thanks for your kind thoughts.
Of course, CEh!

Not an easy Wordle, CEh!
I should have set par at 5 or even 6. You did well to solve in 5.
I think we figured it out as soon as we were lucky to stumble into the right 2-letter combo, either your โalโ (3&4 position) or my โuaโ (2&3 position).
