Today’s Jumble haiku:

To the the Nth Degree

“Encore” denotes when
you’re going hoist on stage… at
the end of a show.

"Smart Art"

The art the studio was showing
had the press really going.
The paintings they hoisted up the wall
were clean and colorful and sleek and tall.

Outdoor activities some scenes did denote,
like sailors working on a boat.
When viewers saw the art they began to roar
and clap and cheer and demand an encore.

In the end the exhibit became the key
to rating the studio to the highest degree.

Hurrah for the studio, Misty ~ Its art is in the ascendant!
It is rare for one studio, or gallery, to be so singled out by the press critics that its artists are identified by a house moniker like this. The Globe playwrights! The Warhol studio! Try to think of others. We’ve about run the gamut.

You don’t have to worry about accuracy with poetry, of course. It is fiction, so you can play with truth and make up an artist’s name—are use the surname or style of an artist you admire. Go on and try!

Did you ever get to do an encore on stage, Ol' Man Keith. I can't remember ever acting in more than one or two plays when I was in high school or college, and never any real roles. Hope you got to do better than that. And, yes, I wouldn't mind seeing some Warhol art.

The poetic narrator like his camera, and like his mind (years ago) has been abused.
He’s not always responsible for what you see in his name.

The Middle of the Muddle

made winter feel summer in
the middle of frost.”

Misty- go to the other Dec 29 posts and find my musings for Dec 30.
I am afraid that OMK must not be well.

CanadianEh!, I don't know if you saw the last message on our second December 29 post. It sadly came from Janice, Keith's wife, letting us know that he has passed away. I've sent her an e-mail response to let her know I got her message and told her that I will also communicate it to you.

Could you share your e-mail address with me, if you are comfortable doing so? My name is Margot Norris and my e-mail is mnorris@uci.edu.

Thanks Misty. I saw the sad news and will contact you.

CanadianEh!, I would be so happy if you would send me an e-mail at mnorris@uci.edu. We could still continue to trade Jumble verses there, every day, or on some days, if you would like. If I hear from you, I'll make a verse from this January 1 Jumble words and post it to you.

Losing Keith and our blog are really big changes in our lives, aren't they? At least in the mornings of our lives. It would be nice to find a way to continue.
