"Pensive Party"
The party should have been a neat event,
held in a garden under a tent.
But sadly the weather was cold and frigid,
and actually froze one woman's digit.
This taught the hosts an important lesson:
to make sure the weather was warm for the session,
so the hosts wouldn't have to forage
for sweaters and blankets in storage.
The party was certainly not love at first sight,
but when the weather warmed up it got better that night.
And in the end it was a lot of fun,
for hosts and guests and everyone.
Love at First Bite
The culinary event was a lesson
In onsite Farm to Table dining.
Local smoked pork or turkeys,
Plus wild mushrooms, herbs and berries,
Foraged under the sun shining.
Ten digit stars to this delicatessen!
OMK- Wow! What a title and haiku you produced from the mishmash of words and answer we were given today. Digital games with birds, making even math fun. Bravo!
Misty- what a shame that the garden party was almost ruined by cold weather (freezing a digit!!). I loved your use of โforageโ to refer to finding sweaters and blankets in storage. This Canadian knows to take a sweater for an outdoor affair even in summer, since it can cool down when the sun goes down. And our sweaters are not put into storage (well maybe the heavier ski sweaters). But you are in California. We have our first snow of the winter today, and it looks like a beautiful Christmas card outside.
Ol' Man Keith, your classes about baby birds and math sure sound like a healthy schedule for young kids--both challenging and fun. Hope they enjoy them!
Wow! CanadianEh!! I don't think I've ever had a cooking lesson (which is why I don't cook anymore), but yours sure sounds like it deserves ten stars!
And I wanted to express sympathy for your having snow today, but it sounds as though it will make your area beautiful and perfectly lovely for Christmas! Wish I could see a picture! Unfortunately, here in California we're having rain--not snow. Not nearly as beautiful, I can guarantee you.
