Instructions to novice - grip that wheel!
Luge Run
Ready! Helmet on,
Worst fears forgotten-weave that track.
Own that hold - understood?
OMK- what a great backstory and haiku. โHelmetโ sent you thinking of football, while my Canadian brain thought of luge. And your โweaveโ was a hairpiece. LOL! Hopefully no concussion for my driver either.
(I realize my count is off for a perfect haiku, but I had to use the W and all the J words.)
"Gift Lift"
Eve enjoyed having a chance to weave
a handsome sweater with a long, bold sleeve.
Last year she had gotten her partner a helmet,
and the sweater would make this a handsome set.
When she gave him her gift, her boyfriend stood
and told Eve that it looked really good.
He then did hold her in his arm
and smiled at her with his own warm charm.
After this the couple did no longer tarry,
and a month later, they did happily marry.
Misty- Eve made a good choice to craft a warm sweater for her partner (perhaps better than a helmet!). He was suitably grateful. I love your happily married endings.
FLN- try Wordle today. I gave a huge hint in Not my BEST day.
Hereโs the link again directory to the W site

CanadianEh! ~ Yup, we two took the HELMET as a cue to turn to our national sports.
(Hmm. Not that American style football is our national game, as that is officially reserved for baseball. But, then, football is indeed more popular below the 49th parallel.)
The purpose of Misty's boyfriend's helmet is up to our imaginations, I reckon. Not a woven topper, I assume, but purchased...
I have had my own experiences with marriage--and am happy to say that a helmet was not necessary.
Not.
Yet.
