Every Pastafarian knows the Flying Spaghetti Monster
Stretches out His noodly nodes to human and to hamster!
He'll nourish us and make us plump with noodles common,
And we in turn will reverence Him, intoning sacred "Ramen"!
They serve noodles in the navy, with marinara to marines.
In the air force they serve noodles topped with strawberry ice cream!
And if you go to Subway for a real Italian hoagie,
You'll get meatballs that His Noodliness will bless as truly holy!
But beware the active heretics who idolize God Zilla
Who think that mac and cheese is the best thing since vanilla!

Winston was a convert. His dreadlocks were in excellent shape, and he wielded a cannabis joint with the best. But he couldn't remember whether he was proscribed from eating fish longer than 10"--or was it 12".

Two days the party stayed eating and singing
At the house of Beorn. No longer gaunt but getting portly
Bilbo actively devoured whatever the servants were bringing
For food would become scarce when the journey resumed shortly.
Gandalf returned with the news that the original way
East was not usable. "We must find a substitute route
And make haste, mount uo and leave this very day.
For though the goblins are to the south, danger lurks about."
His escape from danger in the mountain had helped foster
Bilbo's standing with the dwarves. No longer an imposter.
Dwalin offered to share his pony and he was grateful
But bumping made him sore from his butt up to his navel.

Bravo Owen, you outdo yourself every day. And I can see that OMK thoroughly enjoyed the 60s.
No problems with the four J's and the riddle-solution appeared once I got the letters (correct ones thankfully)

Wow! Two fun Saturday poems with lots of Jumble help--many thanks, Owen and Wilbur. And then Ol'Man Keith's gloss on the solution--many thanks for that too. I had trouble with the second Jumble word, but got it. And once I had all the letters lined up, the solution popped right up. Well, of course, the "fake noodles" clue in the cartoon made it almost impossible (or should I say 'im-pastable') to miss it. What a grouchy chef--I sure wouldn't want to work with him.
Sorry. Back tomorrow.
I never cease to be amazed at how quickly Owen comes up with his multi-stanza poetry.
Wilbur is now running him a close second, while both evince mature literary sensibilities in addition to the marvel of sheer speediness.
(Wilbur, I see you pronounce "route" the way I used to take pride in saying "my paper route.")

Keith -- Quickly?! I have the daily Jumble finished by 6:30 PM. The earliest I can post it is midnight. That gives me nearly 6 hours. Once I write the first line, each verse takes about 15 minutes. But figuring out that damn first line...!!! You note how often I don't post until 4 or 5 in the morning? That's blood-on-the-forehead time, man!
