OMK- great title and backstory on your haiku. The J answer was difficult to make a Spooner. Letโs hope that your deserters get a fair trial and a compassionate release.
"Loose News"
When Luke wrote an article about Lucy
he made it surprisingly juicy.
His excuse was that he had read in the news
some stories whose views were loose.
Lucy did vehemently object
and did reparation collect.
Her reputation did thankfully revive,
and she gave the press a "high five."
Her security was now back in place,
and she was once again treated with grace.
Misty- poor juicy Lucy. In a time that โloose newsโ seems to go uncontested, it is refreshing to se that Lucy was able to be compensated, plus revive her reputation. Wa hat a gracious woman to give the press a high-five after all that drama.
You were smart to stick with your not-too-hungry kitty, CEh! as she allowed you to squeeze all the words into a tight 5-liner. My even-tighter format is what demanded my weird backstory.
I am not sure which of our titles is the weirder!
Misty played it safe with a classic formatโa whatever-rhymes title atop two quatrains formed from couplets, with a final couplet to punctuate. Always a cool way to tell a tale.
Her subject, Lucy, may be a sharp stand-in for Jean Carroll, who prevailed against Donald J. U-Know-Who!
