Our National Parks are truly a treasure.
Their wonders and worth are far beyond measure.
Yellowstone harbors the Old Faithful geyser,
And to view native bison, no place is nicer!
Ansel Adams, the photographer
Made his fame on the parks' grandeur!
Consider, Ansel was able to unite
Art and nature, in black-and-white!
The Grand Canyon Suite, symphonic art,
Is a dearly loved paean to the park.
Violin and cello, trumpets as bird calls,
Our National Parks are marvels for all!
I wonder about yesterday's Jumble, if this story was being repeated.
Wow, Owen, I'm still the first commenter after you at this time of day! I don't know if others had as much trouble with the solution as I did, but if so, perhaps that's the reason.
The clues were pretty easy but this morning I could just not come up with the solution. Had a lot of errands today so didn"t get back to it til just now. The ending was what gave me problems; I kept thinking of
-onal or -ical. Finally consulted your poem and thought of -able. Eureka!!
Anyway, it is a lovely poem. I am always awed at the way you can take a word or two from the jumble to create a theme and then work every other word in beautifully. This one, progressing from reality to photography to music, is wonderful. Thank you.
P.S. yes, I read that link about the proposal. Would be funny if the constructors have inadvertently developed a second line of work in proposal arrangements, wouldn't it?
Well, here it is, supper time, and I still haven't solved the Jumble. I think I got all four items, and even tried to solve it by putting Sandyanon's 'able' in the second half, but still no outcome. I'll check in again later if anyone can give me any more help.
Misty, read the sentence about Ansel in the poem where Owen used able.
Whew! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sandyanon! I did go back to Owen's poem, and I finally got it--at night! Would have had trouble sleeping if I went to bed with an unsolved Jumble. This way I'm in considerably better shape than I was in earlier in the day. Thank you, thank you!
You're more than welcome, Misty. I dearly love doing the Jumble, and especially appreciate being able to share it with others who also enjoy it.
Whew from me as well! This solution cost me dearly in time and thought. Thank you from me, too, Sandyanon! The four words took some work also but early today I read about the biggest gusher at Yellowstone spewing out a record amount of water. That helped with one of the words and speaking of Yellowstone, buffalo roam there.
Creative verses, Owen! I marvel at how you can weave all the words into your opus.
