Oh, I wish I was wealthy!
I'd buy me a tropical isle.
I'd sit on my shady veranda,
With a good puzzle, and smile.

I'd exude culture at parties.
Nouveau riche, no one would guess.
In a limo I would be taken
To avoid interviews with the press!

The stress of wealth is taxing,
To my island I would retreat.
Work Jumble and jigsaw puzzles,
The same as the poor on the street!

Delightful poem this morning, Owen--a nice follow-up to the INNER PEACE theme of the crossword puzzle. I feel a bit silly, though, because I got the Jumble answer instantly, but for some reason had trouble with the fourth item. Came to your poem for help, and not only did it give me the word but ended up as the theme for your whole poem. I should have gotten it in an instant. Oh well, it's a Monday morning. I feel sorry for the poor fellow in the cartoon--I think he should get help from HR Block or somebody. Wish I could make out the picture and words on his coffee cup.
Anyway, have a good week coming up, everybody. Easter is just around the corner.

The jumble clues were not difficult and the solution was too, too obvious.

The poem paints a fine picture, Owen. I could go for it, except the parties. The sitting peacefully on the veranda sounds great, though.

I am following the terrible news about Notre Dame Cathedral. Looks worse and worse.

Yes, today I knocked it off on sight. I still have to visit the funale of the Sam series.

I think I posted the first notice about Notre Dame on our crossword blog--just couldn't believe the pictures on the news tonight showing the horrible fires and the toppling of the spire. Just glad no one was injured and that apparently terrorism wasn't the cause but only a construction problem. Still devastatingly sad.
