Today’s Jumble haiku:
”Kingly Frolicks”

The cranky bees’ fling
is to lick ‘n’ kick pollen!
Scampi kick leg-eggs.

The boards one trod upon,
A phase one mustn't cheat on.
Don't disparage
The western carriage,
Nor rocket parts that soon are gone!

"Gratitude"

Frank was a bit of a crank
who worked at a local bank,
where his crew did his praises sing
because much credit he did fling.

He deserved some cheerful frolicking,
so a party for him they did host,
where they served scampi for picking,
which Frank enjoyed the most.

The event made Frank finally cheer up,
and he thanked them and did even tear up.

So cranky Frankie had some scampi,
scampi Frankie had he…
If some scampi had cranky Frankie—
and ‘twere no hanky panky—
he’d be known as
Handy Dandy Scampi Frankie.

Neat job, capturing four different defs of today’s Wordle word!

No word so far, Eh?, from the great white North?

Is CEh maybe having a fling? Or going through a stage?
She’s not a crank, so this may be just one step, all in an attempt to recast herself as a lil’ scamp. EI—

Frolic King

Fling the windows open,
Scamper through the meadow,
Crank up the music and dance.
All the world’s a stage,
But an outdoor one may have pollen!

Busy day in the great white north. I see I was missed.

Owen- I echo OMK re your masterful poem with all the W definitions.

OMK- I see we used similar titles. The J reveal did not “Spooner” very well. I LOLed at your “scampi kick leg-eggs”!
You are in rare form today, giving me another chuckle with Scampi Frankie.

Misty- it was good of Frank’s staff to overlook his crankiness and throw a party to cheer him up.

Ol' Man Keith,

Only you could come up with bees
that kick pollen in the breeze.
And I also have to beg
you to tell me what's a "leg-egg"?
I hope you don't take offense
if I ask you to have "Kingly Frolic"
make just a bit more sense?

CandadianEh!,

I'd love to join your scamper--
is there any food in your hamper?

Your Wordle is brilliant, OMK, and I love seeing both your Wordles, Wilbur and CaE, even if I can't post one.

Finally, Owen, your verse is always a gift.

Scampi, including large ones—like lobsters—carry their eggs on their legs before hatching.
I was making a connection between bees having a fling with pollen & scampi having a similar kick with their eggs.

You took “Frolicking” in a more natural direction.
Your spirit is upbeat and festive, but I may detect a note of caution at the end—perhaps a fear of hay fever?
