The King of France
He learned to dance
All on a summer's day.
A jealous Ella
To keep her fella
Chased all the girls away.

This poem came to me some time ago (while I was phoneless?), and kept running thru my head for several days. Since the W isn't hidden, try finding the subject of a Bobby Burns poem.

Sunday
is Keith’s UNday.

Some say it shows a lot of cheek
taking one day off per week.
But he knows for fact
it’s safer to extract
one day—than to freak a streak.

Enjoyed your poem, Owen.
And your off-day verse each week is always a treat, Keith.

"Partner Peace"

The debate was a fiasco
that did irritate her mate,
but it taught her an important lesson:
that this was not their fate.

Their differences in gender
let them their profession pick:
they could open up a bakery
or sell clothes of amazing fabric.

After a series of arguments,
they finally made their peace.
And soon a new shop they leased,
and their income has now increased.

Yes, Owen, the Wordle may be open, but your poem is lovely. And I see the “To a . . . . “ (and not the rodent).

I hope you have enjoyed your UNday, OMK.
I enjoyed a concert this afternoon - piano, cello, accordion, percussion group. A fusion of different musical genres. It was great.

Back later to read Misty’s offering after I have had a chance to create my own.

Fancy Pants

Home Ec lessons for both genders
Should include baking, laundry and ironing
There is no debate
That avoiding a burnt fabric fiasco
Is worse than increased creases

Thanks Misty.
I enjoyed your poem. I’m glad your partners made peace and their business is increasing.
