Today’s Jumble haiku:
(In seeking to find a place that defines terms tautologically, one may come across a few words such as these…)

Bland Definitor

ENOUGH: the quota
to blend and run inverted
corporations—Noun.

A month before Christmas, the plum pudding must be made, to fulfill the tradition when you have the family
Band Together

Enough suet (no quota),
Blend the spices,
Steam for hours,
Touch to check doneness,
Invert to cool.

OMK- brilliant haiku today. How do you think them up? I loved the inverted corporations.
No Spooner for me today. Rather, a truncated recipe. Every family of British origin must have a plum pudding recipe in their past recipe collections. I became the keeper of ours (plus the bowls and steamer).

Misty- I hope your storm is over by now, and that you were able to get some sleep last night.

"Good Response"

The family tended to blend together
when caught in terrible stormy weather.
But after two days they had enough
and decided to try some different stuff.

So they inverted the problem by forming a band
and soon their playing was in big demand.
A quota of fans gave them grateful cheers
and in return they served them snacks and beers.

Thank you for your kind comment, CanadianEh!--I actually did manage to get a good night's sleep, even though it was still pouring a bit when I woke up this morning. But it's better now.

My son and daughter-in-law and grandson will be arriving early this afternoon and staying in Laguna until Monday. So my offerings and responses on the blog may be pretty spotty this weekend, and I apologize in advance and appreciate your kindness and patience.

But I also wish you both, CEh! and OMK, a lovely holiday weekend ahead

Misty- your family was very resourceful to cure boredom by forming a band. Great story line and grateful fans.

Yes, I will be very busy with family visits and preparation right through until Wednesday evening. I may b3 spotty too.
Best wishes to you too, Misty and OMK, for a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.
