|| || ozone, snack, butane, exodus, second to none.

The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

It's amazing. No other posts yet. Maybe others had the same problem I had: difficult solution??

Well, the clues were ok, but some days I'm just tired and don't want to put forth a lot of effort, so when the solution doesn't come readily, I hop right to jumbleanswers.com. Pretty clever idea, that solution.

Hope everyone is ok.

Hi Sandy. Well, I also came here needing help with the Jumble. Can't get the third word, and the solution totally stumps me. But I think I'll wait a little and see if I can pick up some clues from anybody. If you have any hints you can give me, that would be great.

I thought I'd take a day off.
But the absence of other verses gives me the alternate title for this ditty (and the solution's gentle hint).

The Traveling Song
-or-
"I'll Not Be Number Two"

Gimme butane for my lighter
to find my track
under an ozone sky.
And a dozen good matches
for reading my map,
& I'll get there bye & bye.

I'll pack me a snack,
lift me rhymes to my back,
make an exit with a heigh & a ho!
I'll hail me a hack,
set the meter on, Jack!
and look out,
just watch me go!

Yes, the third clue word is a real gas. I had a terrible time with it.
Can't think of anything more helpful. Sorry.

Well, your neat poem gave me that tough third word, Ol'Man Keith, but I finally had to look up the solution. Made me laugh--so obvious, I should have gotten it.

"Today's Jumble"

Ozone made me moan
but I did pack me a snack.
No butane in the rain,
and with no help next to us
I think I'd best exodus.
(Hey, this Jumble was tough
and I've had enough).

Now I know you were tempted to say "exeunt omnes"!

I couldn't get either of the six letter J's. Started, left off for other things, took another look later, no dice.

Then I only just got here now and I see answers and poems in the style of OMK and Misty. Google just now promped me with "Misty". It's getting to know our gang here.

I've done the CC xword and folks might find it difficult. Mainly because unlike friday and Thursday there's no grok'able themes to fill boxes.

Only one sports question on tomorrow's CC. It could have been clued as 'poetic tentmaker'. I of course was familiar but names in general fail me. One perp got it for me.

And #3 on tomorrow's J is not DAMNED. I found that out when I was short an E on the riddle-solution.
