The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

What will be the next fad for a crazy teen?
Will it be something with an electronic theme?
I read Tamagatchi pets are just around the bend.
Will that be the one to provide the next trend?

The new one won't be a fob on a beaded chain.
Worn on the wrist, kids will wear watches again!
It will display the time when the pet's asleep,
And includes a pedometer to monitor their feet!

The visual screen will be touch-sensitive,
To make a fun place for Tamagatchi to live.
No Internet connection will be needed to stream.
For Bandai, it will be a renewed revenue dream!

FLN, Wilbur ~ Enjoyed yr Geico Gecko poem!
But it might point to a danger in trusting TV Ads (as also presented in my version below).
Might be that lady was prepared to spare any fantasy spots--in her case a talking lizard!
In our instance... Well, I 'll let you decide how much is imaginary...

"Our Retirement Plan?"
This trendy craze has a popular theme:
decoding Jumbles. It's a visual dream,
from cartoons to anagrams--a solution as well--
and, with Owen's poems helping to excel,
the fad keeps on growing! The future's a-gleam
if we monetize it with ads, for a revenue stream.

Two brilliant poems to start off our morning--Jumbles don't get any better than this, Owen and Ol' Man Keith--thank you for this gift!

I had to look up what a Tamagotchi pet was--had never heard of such a thing. Now I wonder if I should think about getting one, since after losing both of my sweet dachshunds to coyotes and deciding I would have no more pets. But no coyote would be allowed to attack my Tamagotchi.

OMK, I can never believe how you work the four Jumble words into two lines of poetry. Simply amazing. And you even worked in the "revenue stream" at the end.

My lame offerings should probably stay home, in comparison.

"Bark Park"

Wendy's trendy idea had a dream
and a clever financial scheme.
Her property included a stream
which suggested a wild-life theme.
Or she could turn her garden into a park
where dogs would run and play and bark.
The project required some revenue
but investors were charmed by the view.
When complete, it was a visual craze
which did many visitors amaze
and make all those dogs bark in praise.

Misty ~ Among the three of us I wondered if we hadn't exhausted the "ee" rhymes, those ...

based on "eam" & "een,"
including "eem" & even "eme."

But, scratching my head
for a memory thread
from here to Hono-lulah,
I remembered with a scream,
Hah!! "-- Brylcreme"!

I'd forgotten about the Tamagotchis,Owen.
I guess my sons were too old for them.
The last most similar "toy" I can recall buying for one was a Pet Rock, and that was way back in the '70s.
I suppose you could say Pet Rocks were the analog versions--the primitive forerunners--of the hi-tech Tamagotchis.
I remember my son Jeremy taking it seriously and treating his rock well. He would polish it tenderly & put it to bed every night on its nest.
With Tamagotchis, you can do all those nurturing gestures just by pushing buttons.
Let us know, Misty, if you decide to adopt one. They might be fun.

(But I'm guessing they wouldn't be entirely companionable. I think whatever they invent would still need to have a coat of fur...)

No, OMK, adoption
is not an option.

You are right, Misty.

I would not want him or her
without some fur.

Or let's be non-binary, with "they" and "them,"
to cite the latest apophthegm.

Are we not PC? Ahem!!
(Excuse my phlegm.)
