Outside it was snowy, inside a roaring hearth.
Of success reports on skiing, there wasn't any dearth.
But Tom had sprained a wrist
When he fell into a drift.
"I clutched that lift like a gecko" brought a chorus of mirth!

I hope it was ingenuity that enabled you to squeeze all those jumble words into one short poem, Owen, and not tiredness that forced you to. It was in any case a fun result with a joke that sent me to Google, and will stick with me.

The jumble came pretty easily today, although I had to think about that second clue for awhile. Once I succeeded in realizing what that was, and all the letters were extracted, the solution was clear.

I'm surprised by the solution, as the lions seem rather divided in their assessment of their project.

Had trouble with word #4 in this morning's Jumble and so relied on Owen's poem for help. Even with just a single verse, there is was, and now I was able to successfully put in the solution. Many thanks, Owen.

Cute cartoon, and, Ol'Man Keith, that fire wasn't just for cooking but also for keeping warm, so maybe that's why it was such a ------- ------.

Have a great day, everybody!

Maybe so, Misty!
But I hope that doesn't lead to Felidae Angst (Lion alienation).
Until now, lions maintained body warmth by huddling together.
Pride togetherness.
Won't fire lead each to get by on his/her own?
Do you suppose that's why the one who's furthest from the blaze seems to be roaring his disapproval?

We're probably over-analyzing a cartoon, but the lioness with a fire on her tail is probably the the one who did most of it, while the guy takes the credit. It's only the males who are roaring, but it's the females who will have to tend it. It's a guy thing.

I think you're right, Owen.
At first glance I didn't even notice the lioness' rear end. (My stupid *#@! male gaze!)
At closer look, I thought her at fault for getting her silly tail caught in the flames.
Now I believe you are correct, sir!
Her comment (with "we" in snarky quotes) and the trusting expression on her sweet face speak volumes in deference to the male's ego.
When will we men ever learn?

PS. "Over-analyzing"? Not a chance.

Well, in the service of overanalysis, why does the other female not seem enthused about being able to cook meat? Yet more work for the females?
