The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

”Exodus 20:8”
He won’t be posting a poem today,
but not to worry, he’s doing swell.
Nothing’s wrong, he’s not astray;
everybody’s fine, the family’s well.
Not a bit of trouble with your ol’ geezer:
he’s suffered neither stroke nor seizure
(Sunday’s just his day of leisure.)

This solution didn't come to me at first sight the way some do, but once I saw it, I loved it!
But OMK, posting a poem to say you won't be posting a poem is more than a bit contradictory, don't you think? If you're going to rest on the seventh day, then take a real rest!
I think it is understood what kind of poem I won't be posting, Sandy.
No J-words included!
Still, it's reasonable of you to be asking why.
I found on two previous occasions that if I did not remind people that I was taking time off, there would be expressions of real concern posted.
This way, I'm hoping to avoid any alarms.

OMK, I love your Sunday "day-off" poems--keep them coming.
Thank you, Misty.
Are you joining me in easing up?
I see you've skipped your daily rhyme;
it is well past your posting time.
Let's take a toast with a holiday cup!

OMK, I sent you an e-mail to let you know that I've tried three or four times to post my morning rhyme and it just hasn't worked for some reason. I'll e-mail you my verse, and if you might be willing to post it for me that would be great. Or if you can recommend something I can do to let me post it, that would be even better.
Wow! It looks like it might have finally worked.
No, it didn't.
Keith, I sent you my verse on e-mail. Many thanks for any help.
Here is Misty's poem, falks!
"Movie Making"
The studio productions were exotic,
wild, sinful, and often erotic.
They earned a considerable profit
though many reviewers did scoff it
and wanted the place to split and quit.
So the lot is now empty and vacant
since its last projects were forsaken.
The new owners do firmly allege
they will only make decent movies
for adults and for juvies.
Hopefully everything will turn out right
with films people will love at first sight.
Sorry it took me so long, Misty!
I have been watching the 49ers/Seahawks game--
and only looked at my email during the halftime break.
I see your Movieland poem, no doubt influenced by our SoCal neighbors (slightly to the north)!
It looks like you are recapturing the historical moment when the early studios were making the untamed flicks that called the Hayes Code into existence.

If this problem persists, it may be the same trouble that "ate" my posts a couple of days ago.
Before you press "Publish Your Comment," check to see which bubble is filled among the three "Choose Your Identity" options above "I am not a Robot."
If it is the top bubble -- your name and "(Google account)," then just go ahead a press "Publish."
If that does not work, click on the next bubble -- "Name/URL." That will cause two lines to open up beneath it. Use only the top line, "Name," and type your screen name in there.
Then go down and click on the square for "I am not a Robot." That should automatically place a check in the square.
THEN, click "Publish."
That may be all that is required, although sometimes it will ask you to select squares on a visual puzzle just to confirm you really are Not the damn robot.

Thank you for posting my verse, OMK.
And thank you also for giving me helpful instructions about how I might deal with this problem the next time it occurs. I copied your instructions so I can consult them in the next posting emergency.
