There are several other Jumble blogs, but the ones I checked all started off by listing the answers. In this blog, answers can be either hinted at or masked by burying them in comments. No overt spoilers!
The Cadillac went driving by, his speed he wasn't minding. Then upon his tail appeared, a tiny, 'lectric Smart Car! He must be going way too slow, so his foot, the pedal finding, He whooshed while waving a single digit to give his tail a jar!
Smoothly cruising on a bit, his gesture he soon forgot. But with a rearward glance, he saw electrics -- now were two! This was a challenge easy met, he'd leave them in a shot! He sped away, but in his mirror, there were four now to outdo!
Then one came up beside him, rolled a window down and waved! Nervous then, the sweat appeared, he had to go much faster! He looked to find a tool around, these Smart Cars were depraved! To try to fight them all unarmed would be a sure disaster!
Now there seemed to be a horde closing on his bumper! He had the metal to the floor, his engine, it was whining! The car beside him came up close, he couldn't feel much dumber. "You're in our sales lot, that's our VR treadmill you're defiling!"
Wow, that was fast. Over at the corner you'd just got up and look and behold here's a most excellent poem.
As I mentioned this morning on the Friday Jumble, this was an easy one . Also, I linked an Aeon article on coincidence that I read through and found fascinating . I still say N. Ratschilde = Hari Selden(Asimov Foundation) and INTREPID (R. Stevenson) = Strider(LoTR) is not coincidence.
Misty ~ There you are! We were looking for you in the Corner, but found no sign... Anyway, good to see you - and glad you had success with the Jumble.
Today's J was among the easier I have seen. I still approach them with trepidation, but generally find them fairly simple. This final answer reminded me a lot of my brother's delight in roaring about whenever he acquired a new vehicle!
Owen, congrats on a strong poetic effort above. I can see why traditional fourteeners (heptameters) settled on rhyming couplets. Don't you find it hard to wait so long for the rhyme to click in?
To ABAB or AABB, that is the question! I don't know how many times I had to go back to change an earlier line because I'd come up with a better line that needed to rhyme with it!

Many thanks, Owen. I was close, but could not have gotten the answer without your poem. Yay!
