Every teen wants to be a rock star,
Even if they can only strum a guitar.
Fame and fortune are enticements,
Not to mention stage excitements!

The life is plush, no doubt about it.
Screaming fans filling mosh pits!
Money flowing from record labels,
Featured by D.J.s on the turntables!

There are drawbacks, stress and pressure,
Annoying groupies beyond measure.
It's hard, at times, to stay upbeat --
But all-in-all, wouldn't it be neat?

I got the first 3 items without any problems, and thanks to Owen's poem also got #4. But I'm stuck on the solution. Thought it would start with BEAT THE ______, but that just isn't working. Any hints would be appreciated.

Misty, don't beat yourself when it's your turn to solve ...

Well, okay, good advice, Ol'Man Keith, but it doesn't help me with the Jumble solution. Wish some of our other members would check in once in a while. I miss them.

Well, here I go, Misty. I too began by thinking the solution would begin with "beat the", but nope. So I scoured Owen's rock-star quality poem for help, turned the letters around and around in my mind, and finally the lightbulb went on. Got it!!

What's that song by The Byrds, Misty, "Turn, turn, turn"?
If you're not sure, just go back and re-read my first post to you.

Your first post didn't help, OMK, but your second one did the trick! Thank you, thank you, thank you for turning my failure of a day around. What a relief--I'm really grateful.

Had to type out a lot of nonsense permutations to get upbeat and entice. Also wanted beat the to start the answer, but all that left was gobbledygook.

Good! I'm glad it served your Turn!
