The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Her blind date was a foreigner, from very far away.
When she asked from where, he said from in the Milky Way.
He had a funny looking roadster, jazzed up to the max,
She calmed her qualms until he hit the gas and they made tracks!
She'd thought he was a joker, a sort of dashing, jaunty guy,
But now she found herself star gazing from the sky!
He took her on a wondrous jaunt around the zodiac,
Dashing from star to star, and following a comet back!
The roadster, it was marvelous, an agile little zipper,
Spiraling around the handle of the Little Dipper!
He got her home a wee bit late, one A.M. was past,
But she assured him with a kiss, the date had been a blast!
A neat tribute to a happy, adventurous, and high ol' time of a first date, Owen!
I hope all's back to normal for you. Wishing you well for the brand new week...

Yes, I think your poem is not only imaginative but fun and sounds so cheerful and lighthearted. I hope it truly reflects your state of mind, Owen.
The jumble was Monday easy for me; quite a contrast with yesterday's two. And I enjoyed the pun.
Thank goodness I'm able to post this morning. When I wanted to comment on something yesterday afternoon, a thing came on that told me I had to log in! I tried a second and third time, but each required a log in. I worried that I'd lose my chance to do Jumble posts which would be a real loss for me. So it's a blessing to have it work this morning.
The first and third Jumble words worried me for a minute, but I got them and the solution was an easy and fun solve. And your poem is a total delight this morning, Owen--so imaginative and clever--I loved it. And, of course, a neat cartoon with all those instruments in the back, and the CBs on the piano. A great Jumble morning all around. Just hope I don't have trouble checking in later.
Just checking to see if I can still check in--Yay! All seems okay today and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the problem is over.
A Scrabble delight , full of 10 and 8 pointers. Love to see a Q but what to do with those Z's. Is a serial napper a DOZIAC? Shades of my OCS days.
Count Basie was our College performer at graduation.
That was a fun story in verse Owen
