The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

At long last, I’m taking the day off, as the first of the two Jumble-days off I owe myself.
I often forget I make my own holidays—since exchanging my salary for a pension!
I don’t have an easy slant on today’s J-words; I’d probably just garble them anyway.

Suuure you would, OMK! Obviously you have NO idea what any of the words are, ho ho.
Now me, I figured this jumble out, but now I feel as though I am being dense about it. Is the wordplay just the one middle word somehow connecting to that hole on the golf course?? Pretty thin, isn't it? I know you guys can do better than that!
"Great Gallery"
Sally used her salary
to establish a lovely art gallery
where visitors would often warble
about the statuettes in marble.
Its special creative slant
sparked many to donate a grant
so that even when time had long passed
the gallery was destined to last.
Misty ~ Your poem reads well & conveys a nice capsule history of Sally’s gallery. Good for her!
I only wonder that your neat “warble/marble” couplet didn’t become a triplet—to complete today’s J-word coverage.

Gaargh! Dammit! I refuse to get hooked on Wordle, especially on my Day Off!
I really mustn’t take time for this.
But look what happened!

Thank you, Ol' Man Keith, for the kind words, and yes, I probably should have added garble to warble to include the last Jumble word. If I have time later, I'll try to find today's Wordle and see what I can do. Have a great day.

I have to type something before trying to paste. The new code has the paste button right next to the publish button. I'll leave the scribble in. The other problem is I can't see what I'm typing. Interestingly, in my Docs area, links now go blue like a link in text. So that facet of Preview is handled.
Anybody think of KARMA for the ssolution?
No, Wilbur, I didn't think of karma. But it did take me all six to get to the final word.
Nor I, Wilbur. I started with STAND, which didn't offer a lot of help.

Aaannnddd...
I'm out again!
I had my laptop repaired, as well as my previous one. And what did I do? I broke the screen! So now I'm left with this old one. Very different add-ons, none of my passwords, and other inconveniences. I think I can still slog tomorrow's Jumble up.
Oh, that's a rotten shame, Owen. So sorry.
Thanks for the update, Owen. Sorry about the accident.
I’ll be here for the next hour or two, so let me know if I need to step in.
