Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Like “chop-shops” for their stolen cars, thieves can find “slip-rips,” dress shop venues that rip apart and re-tailor expensive name-designer gowns they have sometimes acquired from runway models.
In this haiku, a police mole pretends to be a seamstress so she can signal cops to catch the operation in the act.
When the frock cops bust in, it’ll be a …)

the venue’s dark soul.

Found Wonder Day
The sun’s ray on the windowsill
Can modify your mood.
It’s human to be blue
When your venue lacks thrill.
Just “hang on ‘til tomorrow”.
OMK- As you told Misty yesterday, we each make our own unique message out of the words we are given. Today, even though we both turned the J reveal into Wonder Day, our choice of Gown or Found completely changed the direction of our offering - dresses vs. seasonal depression. But perhaps you would not be as familiar with SAD, living in sunny California vs. the Great White North.
You were very creative with your “slip-rips”!
FLN, Dear Misty,
My late posting is about owning your genius. As demanding as these J-words seem to be, they don’t get the credit (or blame) for what we write.
Take those handcuffs off your keyboard!

"Popular Place"
The store located down under
was treated with pleasure and wonder.
Folks enjoyed looking in the window
at the clothes made of silk and rayon
that the tailor would buy and show
and have customers happily pay him.
And so the owners refused to modify
and the business continues to fly high.
With so much “pleasure and wonder,” Misty, there can’t have been any real demands to “modify.”
Their business deserves to “fly high”—as does your impressive (pleasurable & wonderful) poetic output!
Excellent anti-SAD advice, CanadianEh!
And yes, some of us below the line, way down here in SoCal, are familiar with seasonal depression.
(It may be why we choose to live here.
But also to own a special lamp I have, bright as the sun, that I can switch on to glare my troubles away.)

I don’t fear black cats
or ladders.
But I’m not gonna
fool around with adders.
On this special day…

Misty- I want to go to Australia to visit that wonder-inducing store. My wardrobe could use some updated silk and rayon. Good work.
OMK- have a safe Friday 13. Too snowy here for much of the traditional biker crowd at Port Dover.
Fun comments form everybody--many thanks. What's wrong with Friday 13? Never heard of this as an issue. Anyway, have a great weekend coming up, everybody!
