Todayโs Jumble haiku:
(One of Aesopโs lesser-known morals is spoken by an insectโafter an exhaustive use of his holometabolic ESP to crack a nighttime mystery, where to find Yellow-Green light!
Hereโs his conclusion.)
โSaid the Fleaโฆโ
When one divines whatโs
cloaked by excess darkness, itโs
always afternoon.

"Career Change"
After the cloak made Cleo look dafter
she raised even more viewer's laughter.
She did quite dramatically dress,
hoping to look divine,
and this glamorous excess
did indeed make her shine.
But in the end she fled the scene,
and married a University Dean.
Nice rhymes, Misty, "scene/Dean" and especially "dafter/laughter"!
Cleo dared go against those who would mock her style and, apparently, managed to "shine." Brave lass!
In the end though, it looks like she chose an old-fashioned route to female advancement.
In this day & age, who's to say her Nay?

You did it again, Ol' Man Keith: you got all the Jumble words into your morning haiku, with a few twists here and there. The birds must have fled and let the flea take over--let's just hope he doesn't get lost on the scene of a dark afternoon. Nice job, especially if the flea's happy.
Late getting back.
Congrats all on the great Wordle work today. OMK- your usual first word was very useful today. But I think you got the cart before the horse by not getting the child first, before you get used to all the disruption to the household.
WC- Iโm not sure where you started.
Misty- I echo OMK re dafter/laughter!. I rather liked Cleoโs โglamorous excessโ.
OMK- great haiku. I loved the title you wrung from that difficult reveal. That fable is very deep. It is truly scary how long it can take to become aware of โwhatโs cloaked by excess darknessโ.
