Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Hoping to irrigate the dusty southwest, underground waters are drawn into intake tanks. So long as the walls of these reservoirs aren’t too porous, the local farmers will be …)

Very Thankful

A cloth intake vault
ain’t worth the sweat on a snow-
man’s chin. Ask Frosty.

A dishonest Pixie in Vank (Armenian word for monastery) serves the monarch as Mistress of the Robes, but decides to charge a levy on the side.

Fairy Vank-Toll

Velvet cloth in vault,
Fit for queen on frosty day,
Taken for priest’s robe.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

As you can see, I am sometimes using an unchanged version of the J-solution for my title these days.
Today, it seems most appropriate.
But I congratulate CanadianEh on today’s Spoonerizing. It took imagination and sheer determination to go that far abroad to come up with today’s 3-word response.
The haiku that follows is structurally sound and shows a sensitivity for flipping as well. Brava!!

"Thanksgiving"

When young Wendy opened her eyes and was awake
she carefully considered this day's intake.
The morning was still a bit frosty,
and buying the dinner would be costly.
This is never anyone's fault,
and she'd take the money from her vault.

But Thanksgiving with her family was a thrill
and she happily and thankfully covered the bill.
And in the end the event was such a pleasure,
that it became an annual family treasure.

Misty’s Wendy sets a proper tone for Thanksgiving ‘23.
Although the dinner will be a costly affair, she does not hesitate to commit the funds. And, presumably, the effort.
Good for her, says her thankful family. So say we all!
We wish her, her fictional family, and all involved in making this and reading it, a truly…

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends.
And what marvellous offerings you both gave us today.

OMK- another creative backstory and haiku. I loved the “sweat on a snowman’s chin” imagery.
Thanks for your kind comments on mine. Yes, that title was almost impossible to Spooner, and I did need determination to find an acceptable backstory and haiku to use the given words and still connect to the title. I’ll admit I spent more time than usual (and had to use a variation of the I word). Still a bit of a stretch.

Misty gives us a lovely family Thanksgiving, funded happily by Wendy because of her love of family, and desire to enjoy their company at this special time of year. Those annual meals will create many happy memories for the younger generations, as well as for Wendy. It makes me feel quite sentimental.

Ol' Man Keith and CanadianEh!, thank you for your delightful haikus and comments today--a real pleasure.

My son is here having brought us a large turkey and side dishes from Gelsen's, and is already heating the oven to bake it, and start warming all the vegetables and other items. We're clearly looking forward to a lovely Thanksgiving dinner ahead.

I too wish both of you a delicious dinner with family, and/or friends, and a wonderful and joyful Thanksgiving evening. Have a lovely time and a great weekend ahead.
