Burn, Baby!

This week, on my holiday,
I’ll have more time to burn away,
‘cuz—whaddya know?—I can’t gainsay
we repeat an hour—on Guy Fawkes Day!

"Don't Mutate: Mate"

When Tina was just a young teen,
she was quiet and mostly unseen.
But in her twenties a young man plucked her,
and into his family did induct her.

He was a little different and shy,
but he was really a very nice guy.
And so Tina did not falter,
but married him at the altar.

That Christmas they bought a sleigh,
and their marriage is on its way.

Changes in plans don’t necessarily mean not having a good time.
A Deterrent Lift

The long-awaited family ski trip
Mutated into a sleigh ride
When the old T-bar flared and faltered.
But the disappointed gang received a tip
From their seasoned tourist guide
And were inducted into a pleasure altered.

OMK- enjoy your extra hour!

Misty- I love your title (with its Australian overtones).
Tina’s young man must have seen past her shyness to pluck her and induct her into his family. But he was shy too so they seem to make a good pair. I hope they enjoy many years of sleighing!

Here’s a Wordle poem for you today Misty.

The lion came out of his lair,
Looked up with a terrible glare,
Then let out a loud blare,
With his usual _ _ _ _ _

Hi CanadianEh!! Glad your family got some help on their ski trip!
But I worry about your poor lion. Hope he was AWARE that he shouldn't respond with a GLARE, or an angry STARE. It might be best if he just said a PRAYER.

And what are you going to do on Guy Fawkes Day, Ol' Man Keith?

Twist my conspiratorial mustache as I set the extra hour ablaze!
