The Indian Arts Market is quite a show,
Purchasers parade past booths in a row.
Native American craftsmen and artists
Exhibit their wares at this exclusive market.

Navajo rugs, freshly woven with care,
On looms they may demonstrate right there.
Leather-goods tanned from tawny to fawn,
On sale, and admired as tourists look on.

Jewelry of silver, turquoise and coral red,
Clasps for neckerchiefs, worn over her head.
Necklaces, bracelets, rings -- finger and ear.
All made solely by Indians from far and near.

(There are Indian Markets all across the country, which may differ from this description of the one in Santa Fe, NM.)

I was absent yesterday, but here early today. Very glad to see that you're doing well, Owen (I hope that's what your early posting means!)

The jumble was pretty easy today; only had to reorganize clues three and four to get all the letters, and the solution came fairly easily too. Cute baby deer, cute pun.

I really enjoyed the poem. It was very evocative of the market atmosphere.
Probably that's as close as I'll ever get to an Indian Arts Market, so thanks for the tour!

An informative poem. As Sandy says, it provides a vivid tour!
For the record, there are 2 extra letter circles printed by mistake at the end of the solution as it appears on my screen. The correct count should be three words, 4, 4, 3 for a total of 11 letters.
The cartoon is truly "dear."
When I was a kid we had a next door neighbor who had 2 puppies at once, both quite darling. We fussed over them the way the deer are doing in the picture. There was a short haired chihuahua named Spike & a golden named Rover. I remember from that time how I came to Identify breeds according to their shedding hair. The long Rover fur got all over our clothes & everything, but the short Spike bristles, while hard to spot at first, worked their way sneakily into every nook & cranny.

Oh, my! You are correct. Those were left over from yesterday's long answer that weren't covered by today's shorter one. They did get partly cut off, tho. I'll have to be more careful about that in the future.

There, fixed it. Only 11 of our normal 50-60 daily visitors yet, so most will see the corrected version. BTW, the month to date figure at the bottom of the page shows an average of over 100 views per day. Maybe the 50-60 figure filters out repeats?

Lovely poem, Owen, and how nice to learn about Indian Arts Markets. This Jumble was a real gift after a tough crossword. Like Sandyanon, I too had to work only a little to get the third and fourth words and the solution was a lovely ending to the sentence. A real treat, and I love the little turtle on the bottom chiming in with the parents.

Very entertaining poem. I did this online at the neurologist's office. Nice to see ENA next to her nephew Bambi.

I thought maybe DOE would be in the Riddle-Solution. That first word is one of those multiple use words.

I had my most trouble on the,in hindsight, easy #4. Was I alone?

I stared at the pic for a while, trying to figure out what was happening to the doe's right front hoof. It seems to have morphed into a hand or a paw in order to pet the baby's forehead. A little too weird.
